Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, in the unspoiled rural landscape of Apulian Salento, lies Tenuta Lopez. Here, you can still experience the essence of authentic Puglia, while being just a short distance from the beautiful sandy beaches of the Ionian Sea.
Tenuta Lopez is a luxurious country estate, carefully renovated to preserve its 18th-century structure and original architectural features. Large arched windows and high vaulted ceilings flood the interiors with natural light, highlighting the estate’s impressive open spaces. The stylish, playful decor blends modern furnishings with vintage and retro touches: wooden cabinets and tables, designer lighting and local artisan pieces made of glass and wicker.
The estate’s name is believed to originate from a Spanish noble family, whose surname was later Italianized to Lo Pezza, and eventually Pezza. The farm was already recorded in the Land Registry of Terra d’Otranto in 1747 when it was used for growing tobacco and wheat and for raising sheep and pigs.
Today, Tenuta Lopez serves as an accommodation facility and a farm with 20 hectares of land planted with vines, olive trees, orchards, and arable land.
The current owners, Antonio and Giorgio, whose lives are divided between Milan and Salento, find in this place a peaceful refuge from the pace of city life, as well as a connection to their authentic roots, a place they love to share with friends and guests alike.
