Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, in the unspoiled rural landscape of Apulian Salento, lies Tenuta Lopez. Here, you can still experience the essence of authentic Puglia, while being just a short distance from the beautiful sandy beaches of the Ionian Sea.

Tenuta Lopez is a luxurious country estate, carefully renovated to preserve its 18th-century structure and original architectural features. Large arched windows and high vaulted ceilings flood the interiors with natural light, highlighting the estate’s impressive open spaces. The stylish, playful decor blends modern furnishings with vintage and retro touches: wooden cabinets and tables, designer lighting and local artisan pieces made of glass and wicker.

The estate’s name is believed to originate from a Spanish noble family, whose surname was later Italianized to Lo Pezza, and eventually Pezza. The farm was already recorded in the Land Registry of Terra d’Otranto in 1747 when it was used for growing tobacco and wheat and for raising sheep and pigs.

Today, Tenuta Lopez serves as an accommodation facility and a farm with 20 hectares of land planted with vines, olive trees, orchards, and arable land.

The current owners, Antonio and Giorgio, whose lives are divided between Milan and Salento, find in this place a peaceful refuge from the pace of city life, as well as a connection to their authentic roots, a place they love to share with friends and guests alike.

Tenuta Lopez consists of two buildings and can accommodate up to 14 guests across six unique bedrooms, each varying in size, layout, and orientation.

It also includes a bright and airy dining/living area with a fireplace, a cozy lounge corner, a large dining table, and a fully equipped kitchen—perfect for shared meals and relaxed evenings.

At the heart of the courtyard, an inviting swimming pool is surrounded by a pergola-covered terrace, ideal for alfresco dining, lounging with a good book, or simply soaking in the beauty of the Salento sunsets.

THE ROOMS

There are six rooms in total—two classic and four suites—each unique in size, view, and location, and all equipped with premium comforts: free Wi-Fi, audio system, air conditioning, underfloor heating, bathroom and pool accessories, and courtesy toiletries.

The rooms “Ulivo”, “Malva”, and “Melograno” are located within the main building, the original heart of the farm and the Manor House dating back to the early 1700s.
Ulivo and Malva feature private terraces, perfect for quiet, relaxing moments with a good book.
Melograno includes a sitting room with a fireplace and a sofa bed.

All three rooms are spacious and bright, offering a refined blend of classic and modern furnishings, king-size beds, and fine cotton linens. Elements such as original stone walls, exposed wooden beams, and traditional chianche or cementine floors add a sense of warmth and timeless charm.

The rooms “Mirto”, “Limone”, and “Mandorlo” are housed in the former stables, carefully restored to preserve their barrel-vaulted ceilings and stone arches. They open onto the internal courtyard and surrounding countryside, offering a deep connection to the natural beauty of the estate.

A large kitchen with exposed wooden beams and a spacious living room complete this part of the property, providing guests with ample shared space for gathering and relaxation.
