Horseback riding trips and lessons are available for both beginners and experienced riders, led by certified guides in the Otranto-Leuca Natural Park or the Idro Valley. All horses are well-trained and exceptionally gentle.
The itineraries are thoughtfully designed to highlight the area’s historical, archaeological, and natural treasures such as the Red Lake (the bauxite lake), bay of Orte, Sant’Emiliano bay, Palascìa lighthouse, the abbey and crypt of St. Nicholas in Casole, several fortified masserie (traditional farmsteads).
